Dr Riaz Yar
BDS, MFDS RCS (Edin), MPhil (restorative), DPDS, Dip Implant Dent RCS (Edin), MPros Dent RCS (Edin) Specialist in Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics.

 

Riaz graduated from Liverpool University in 1999. In 2005 following a time running his own general dental practice he gained MFDS from the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh. In 2008 Riaz Yar completed an MPhil in Restorative Dentistry and in 2011 Riaz completed the MRD mono-specialty training in Prosthodontics at the University of Manchester where he is also an Honorary Clinical Teaching Fellow in Prosthodontics.

 

As well as being involved in prosthodontic teaching and the supervision of restorative dentistry research projects in Manchester, Riaz is an internal examiner for the Membership of Joint Dental Faculties of the Royal College of Surgeons England.  He is also an internal examiner for the overseas registration exam and the LDS (heavily involved in question writing for part 1).

 

As well as completing the specialty prosthodontic training, Riaz has undertaken a Diploma in Postgraduate Dental Studies (DPDS) with the University of Bristol and a Diploma in Implant Dentistry with the Royal College of Surgeons, both completed in 2011.
